On this game I was owner Level Artist on 2 maps, North West Passage and Animus. This two maps have very different setting and I have learn a lot on both.
On the North West Passage first the E3 map, I have work with 3 colleagues to elaborate a story, and the modularity of all the map. After that I have spend most of my time on the two main Landmarks and textures creation. The biggest challenge of this map was to create something organic but completely climbable. I really have enjoy working on the old iced wreck and his broken mast, dressing up the level design needs with rumbles of woods, old fabrics or ice.
On Animus, the idea was to create something completely different, straight and square but to bring life in it as well. The idea was to create an half loaded animus map, so the center is loaded and real but the exterior is still made with strange and simple shapes. Here i was responsible of some realistic houses and props but the part I have the more enjoyed was to work on the Monolith, an neverending shape create to bring energy in the map. Here I was responsble of the monolith and the all ground and stairs as well to create a coherent whole and autonomous space according of course to the design needs.
